In this highly visual physical work, Dimitris Papaioannou, an icon of contemporary Greek choreography, asks questions about the nature of humanity and the direction of our civilization. In the foreground of the production Transverse Orientation is the light, beauty and power of the human body, as well as the archetype of the bull – the legendary Minotaur. It’s an ode as well as a farewell to our ancestors. In its way, it breaks down surviving patterns while also creating new ones, and librating itself from a violent, antiquated power. With ease and sensitivity, it brings us back to basic human values. Prague will welcome this exceptional artist for the first time ever. Held in collaboration with Laterna magika.
